Hi guys, I'm new as a user to this forum (but I have trolled here abit for some inspiration, and it's incredible to see all you creative people out there). I thought I would give something back for those who are interested, with some images of my Mora 2000 sheath modifications.

First off, I'm no leatherworker (as you can see). This is my first ever attempt to work with leather, and I realise that I am missing most of the important tools. So this is by no means the work of a leather-craftsman.

Anyhow I thought I would share what my ideas where, and the result.

I really like the "ugly" sheath the Mora 2000 is shipped with. But I'm missing the firesteel ... and that's what started this project. My first attemts where Kydex, but i decided to keep this simple (also the original Mora 2000 sheath can handle the knife for either left/right handed). So the options I wanted to add was:

- vertical/horizontal carry option
- neck carry option
- firesteel option
- add some paracord
- add a maxpedition pouch option

And the results where this

All the "modules"

"Modules" attached without maxpedition

With the maxpedition pouch

Now, the little s-biner is there for easy attachment on my belt (and it also hangs nicely down in an angle on my left leg, so I can easy get it with my right hand). The little part of the plastic original sheath has been left there so I can wrap the maxpedition pouch around it and secure it. The leather is attached to the plastic sheath with a screw on the back. I have used rivets to "stitch" the leather together.

Thanks for all the inspiration guys!
