I'm looking to get a Mora 510 or 521. There isn't a great different between the two. Personally, I like the slightly larger blade of the 521 and am leaning towards that one. The 510 seems to have a large following, so maybe I should just join the crowd. I wanted to see if anybody has both and if they prefer one more than the other.

Thanks,
Ben

Todd, do you have the 521?
I HAD the 556( it's the stainless version of the 521). I traded it for a 546, the stainless version of the 511. I wanted a stainless knife for fishing and I'm used to using a 511, so it was more natural for me.

l really like the #780 The triflex Craftsmen, 4 1/8" blade, .098" thick. Triflex is a carbon steel with a differential heat treatment, Rageweedforge.com sells them for $11.

Todd, thanks for your input.

Myakka, I've got a 780 and I do like it. I wanted to try an Erikkson and see how it compares to the 780.

Then 510. I have the blue handled stainless model. and really like it. :D

780 because I like carbon steel better. I really like the780 it is my beater knife. and the knife I lone to people.

The carbon 510 is really sweet, or the s/s version, the 545. Some of mine pictured.

IUKE12, the picture you took is extremely helpful in seeing the differences between the knives. Thanks.

I really like the blade shape on the Frost 780/760. The blade shape on the Eriksson 510 seems more narrow.

One of these days I have to get all my moras in one picture, I have several not pictured here. I don't think you can make a bad choice, they are all good, inexpensive, useful knives.

I think I'm going to go ahead and buy both. That's one of the great things about moras...two great knives for $20!
