Mora 511/546 Handle Mod Question

I'm digging the 546 I picked up. For those that removed or reduced the guard, did it affect the sheath retention in any way?

A little bit of side rattle, but not much else.

Heat up the sheath and mold it for a proper fit. It worked for me.

I did it on my 511 and it did adversely effect the retention. I tried boiling water to heat the sheath and had some difficulty. I think you will need to get the plastic a little hotter. I made a leather sheath for mine.

Trailbum, nice pic. I used some blue para on mine as well. What a great value. Paired it with my modded ontario machete. Dont think I need much else, and all for 40 bucks. Not many knife combos can outslice and outchop this set.
