So i have a mora craftsmen 780 and i really like it. I carry it as a knife im not scared to break. However the belt attachment on the sheath broke. It snapped at the top when i was putting it on my belt. It broke both of the belt inserts so it wont go on my belt at all. I was wondering if anybody has any way of making a homemade sheath with the plastic sheath that is broken. Or should i just look around for a new sheath

My solution to the same problem, I really like the the 780 (great carving blade...):

I think that JRS and Onscene Tactical have pre-made sheaths for the 780, might be worth checking into...

I did what Barberfobic suggested with a mora #S2. I attached a dangler in place of the tab and it works great. Just wet form it, sew it up and insert the plastic sheath into the leather. I used a fairly light weight leather also. Very pleased with the results.

I make a sheath for that knife.

And if you would like to see a review or two of my work, there are links on my sheath page.
