Mora Bushcraft Sheath Question

On the Mora Bushcraft Survival series of knives, the ones that include a firesteel and sharpener on the sheath, the piece that holds the firesteel and sharpener looks like an add on. Does anybody know if it snaps off? Even if it is difficult to do, I could not want to haul the firesteel and sharpener around all the time and would prefer the option of detaching it. Will it snap off?
