  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

How good is the Mora classic 1? I saw that there is a 60 dollar version where the birch handle is not painted red but just treated and the steel is laminated instead of carbon.the carbon classic 1 is like 15 bucks on amazon . Thoughts?

The laminated will hold the edge longer. It can take a bend and be bent back to true without breaking.
The #1 has a small handle and I personally prefer the #2.
You will find the regular carbon classic to be very useful and easy to sharpen unless You are spoiled by using supersteels.

My favorite is a more than 30 year old laminated #2 with my own handle. Still going strong.

Yes absolutely!
I have an inherited Mora #2 in carbon that belonged to my Father In Law. Still in very useable condition.

I like everything they make, get the $15 version first - the value is excellent, if you want a more fancy version later, go for it : )
