just got my Mora classic #3 in the mail today and I'm quite pleased with it. considering it has the highest saber grind I have come across (which starts at about a 1/3 of the way up the blade) and the high carbon steel, it has probally the second sharpest edge out of the box I have come across. It is able to wittle hair and treetop right out of the box which is awesome. also, considering its probally one of the cheapest knifes I have ever bought (25 bucks shipped to me, im in hawaii and shipping is always a bitch!) its a fantastic deal i think. The blade on this knife is about 6 inchs long which is about 2 inches longer then the Mora classic #1 and I think it makes it much better looking and more effective, especially if you have to stab something/someone/some animal... the handle which some have said was bad does not seem to slip in my hand but I have not used it wet yet. It feels fairly secure but I can see how if you start stabbing, your hand could slip foward on to the blade. There is no guard what so ever but I'm not very concerned about it for what I'll be using it for. The sheath isnt so bad. Sure its not a nice kydex tatical deal but it covers the knife nicely and it keeps it fair safe and secure. I have heard that it wears the handle but mines looks fine right now. what they should have done is drill the drainage hole closer to the tip of the sheath though but I doubt mines will ever see water.
I would highly suggest this knife to someone if they need a very sharp out of the box fixed blade although I'm not sure if this blade would be good for survival. I have heard you could get mora's for 5-7 bucks but I havent seen any type of mora's on the internet for that cheap. Meh, its still cheap as hell and a great deal i think.
