Just thought I would show y'all some para cord work I did to that mora I bought the other day. For a cheap knife I love this thing and with a little 550 cord I made it a little better for me.

Not real good pictures (cell phone) I got it strapped to my pack here. You can still see the excess cord behind it. I set it with in the wrap, just like I did in the front where I made the fire starter holder. Now instead of just one point of contact with the factory sheath I have the clip plus can lash it to my pack.

Also made a simple lanyard for it and drilled hole in the handle. It will slide over my wrist to help keep from loosing it when I am using it in or around water.

This is really my first attempt at doing anything "custom" to a knife. Now I just need about a dozen more to try different stuff too I had a lot of fun on this one. I know not near the quality of some of you guys work but I had fun. Let me know what y'all think and any ideas for future projects. I am going to go get a couple more of these moras I really like it. If anybody has any pics of what they did to their moras put em up.

Nice job Bigfoot. I've done similar paracord "sheath wrappings" on some of mine, both Moras and others. I always do it with one long strand, as opposed to seperate coloras/strands, so I have the longest possible cordage with me if I need it. But either will work I suppose - you can always tie the ends together to extend the length if needed.

I drill a lanyard hole in my clippers too. I don't understand why a fixed blade knife would me made without a lanyard hole in the first place. There are several nice knives I'd buy, but there isn't a lanyard hole in the handle.
