A few days ago I received the Mora Companion Heavy Duty MG knife.
I really loved this knife at first sight: light, essential, comfortable, and efficient, is has all the Mora knives good qualities and even more.
Anyway, I did not liked the plastic sheath. Yes is right to secure the knife, but is ugly to say the least...
Therefore, I made my own leather sheath for the Companion HD. I put some thoughts on knife sheaths, because a good knife in a bad sheath is uncomfortable and unsure to carry.
More, I like to use just the materials I had at hands, so no machinery or chemicals for my sheaths. Anybody can make at home a knife sheath as I made, using few very basic tools. I am not great at all; anyway, the result seems not too bad.
If you want to see all the process steps, just take a look here http://adoricchi.blogspot.it/2015/02/mora-companion-heavy-duty-mg-handmade.html
Enjoy your bushcraft
