LostViking,
I finally got around to taking a picture of my horizontal dangler modification to the standard Mora Companion sheath. Here it is...
Mora Companion by Pinnah, on Flickr
I cut off the stock sheath clip using a sharp knife. I assume that you (or anybody reading this) has access to one.
The strapping is simple 3/4" nylon webbing. I sewed this off of the sheath, moving the seam just a bit several times till I got a very snug fit when sliding it onto the sheath. I then secured the webbing to the sheath with copious amounts of slow cure epoxy.
I tried to keep webbing as short as possible while still having enough length to dangle below the level of any of my waist length jackets and my hip belt.
The small clip allows for easy on/off to belt loops. I can wear it at the 11 o'clock location but prefer it at the 9 o'clock position.
This is the least hassle way for me to carry a fixed blade. I still vastly prefer a folder in my RFP but I can at least tolerate this.
