We were out raising some of the branches in order to make mowing the fields easier. For my part, I was using the Mora Companion to prune. If the truck is out working, the Mora is right there, too. Its task is to serve as the truck's EDC fixed blade.
When slashing, the blade swept through the 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch new growth with ease. Some may not like the look of the carbon steel blade after much use; I prefer the rugged, heavy patina and natural stains that occur.
The somewhat soft rubber grip allows for fantastic purchase; giving a sense of the blade just being an extension of the arm.
Other than bushcraft and other outdoor activities, this Mora serves well as a steak knife and other food prep chores. Yeah, and it makes a great gift.
