Residual epoxy on ricasso and I nicked the blade. Still learning.
Not the most robust design, but I like the way it looks.
I'm getting a blank sheath from North Coast Knives tomorrow or Wednesday.
Combination of pear wood and cocobolo -- probably the two most different woods on the planet. This is my first time working with either.
Finish is two coats of Tru Oil buffed with 00 and then 0000steel wool. Tru-oil takes so long to cure--about 1 day per coat. If I were keeping this knife for myself, I would leave it as is, but I will probably auction it off. I need y'all's opinions on the finish: fill the grain on the cocobolo? If so, how?
Thanks for having a gander, and for any feedback re: the finish.
