I just got my hands on a More #1 and I love it. It sharpens easily to a hair-popping edge, and the handle is heaven in in use. I am a little concerned about the large gap between the base of the blade and the handle, however, it is already showing discoloration from water seeping in from sharpening.

So, fellow Mora-lovers, how do you fill the gap between the blade and handle on your Mora's? Any specific brand or type of epoxy or some other filler?

I have done it in two ways:
1. Superglue that is slow, like Mitre-Mate with spray hardener to make it fast.
For a Mora I use it without the spray and drop the glue down the tang from the pommel end.
When the glue comes out at the ferrule it hardens in the air and I can continue to fill the handle all the way up to the pommelend.

2. Take the handle off the tang, by tapping a pin on the tang end.
When the blade iscoming loose, just pull the blade out of the handle.
Then You can fill the handle with epoxy and tap the blade back in place again.

Mikael

Thanks Mikael, I'll probably have to use a variation of option 1, since I have superglue around now and I'd have to buy epoxy.

Any other methods for the wood-handled Moras?
