Trying a poll. Which Swedish medium-budget full tang knife would you prefer for general outdoor use?

- The Mora Garberg. 109 mm by 3.2 mm Sandvik 14C28N

- The EKA W12, 120 mm hy 4 mm Sandvik 12C27

Mora Garberg
EKA W12

If you have a smaller hand and think the 4.4 inch handle will be ok for you, I would go EKA. I like the blade length of the EKA better, the slightly thicker blade, and the EKA sheath options are much nicer then the Mora.

I'm more familiar with Mora then EKA. All the Moras I've owned have been excellent and they have a very comfortable handle that fit my large hands well. The EKA handle is a little on the short side for the blade length imo.

The Mora knife might get a slight nod for me due to the bigger, fatter handle (I have big hands). I know the Mora will be comfortable. Again, if your hands are small(er), the EKA might be fine and that would equal them out.

EKA wins the sheath race.

It looks like they are in a few euros of one another at first glance. If there is a huge difference in price, that might sway my vote too.

I have a Garberg. Never saw the EKA W12. But it looks like a winner.
I may give one a try.

I had a garberg for about 5 hours.

It came from the factory so dull that I could drag the edge across my arm while pushing down and not break the skin.

Sent it back the same day I got it.

Maybe I'll try one again someday but that put a stink on the mora name for me.
