Howdy folks-

I like my Mora #2. Certainly superb for the price, but I'm curious if there are other Mora handles with beefier dimensions. And of course I have to have new cutting tools to bring with me into the woods. ;)

Anyone know if there's a handle that's bigger in circumference than the #2? But I also want it round, sort of barrel or egg shaped. The M2K is bigger for example, but tall and thin (instead of rounded). The Craftsman type handle is too small at the first finger (and it pretty dang slick).

Does the 711G type handle match that description? Or does that 'new' bushcraft series have a larger handle?

Thanks for saving me from having to order a half dozen blades from Ragnar's. :D

THe 711 Grips are beefier than most... But I would not say more so than the #2... SOunds like your looking at a project knife my friend

ditto what riley said...i believe the whole "craftsman" line have a beefier handle....just gotta remove that gaurd (if you want).

The 780 Triflex has a beefy handle with a guard that can be modded.--KV

this brings to mine yet another reason why I prefer custom made knives. I have very large hands, and it is difficult for me to find a knife with a handle that is really comfortable.

Here's a photo from Ragnar's site that you might find helpful in judging handle sizes of traditional Moras:
