Finally received 2 Moras (clipper stainless and 711 carbon) with a couple different models under consideration. There's been a lot of discussion on how their strength but I don't remember reading anything about how these rubber/plastic handles stand up. Mainly, I was wondering how extremes in temperature would affect them. Would they soften up considerably or come off the blades in the heat of Iraq or the trunk of the car? Would they get brittle and break into pieces in the cold of Alaska? Would one model's handle type be better off that another?

I can't add to much other than.... I have use a 710 for a long time. In snow, spring weather, and summer. It sat on my dash for hours in 100+ heat without a problem. I did however break a Bone stag (company shall remain un-named) knife when I drooped it on a rock one. I was trimming a leader from a fly tie off in a shallow crick. The drop split the left side scale. I bet you will be fine.
