going to trade a blade for some moras that i would like to try ,he has alot ,but i know nothing on moras,so what model should i look for stainless or carbon, the clippers look good or the military mora,,any advise would be awsome so i can pick the good ones.bought one at woodcraft it said frost mora but it sucked an i tossed it it turned me off for couple of years i think it was for carving, but it could not hold an edge, would like to give it another try

My favorite Moras are the 840 Carbon Clipper , the 510 & the Stainless 2000.

They're all good , inexpensive users that will handle woodworking chores easily.

I guess it depends on your preference for blade length & handle shape as far as which one would suit you best.

I like the clipper, it's a carbon blade and it has a very fixed blade friendly EDC sheath. Sharp too, even a dull mora is a sharp knife.

The 840 Clipper is a good place to start. I prefer the carbon-bladed Moras over their stainless steel counterparts in the lineup. My sole stainless Mora in my collection is the Morakniv 2000---a great addition to any BOB or for your belt in the woods.

You can't go wrong with any Mora, though---carbon is just a personal preference, nothing against the stainless. Both function well in the knives their design as components of.
