I am moving my 511 over to the E&E so looking to get another smaller Mora carbon steel or stainless for the daypack. Has anyone got the chance to test out the new Mora HighQ Allround knives yet?

The handle looks about the same as the Clipper/TopQ but the blade appears shorter, thinner with unfinished spine. I heard the tang goes farther back than the older Clipper? I prefer carbon but for the money might just get both.

Well, Ive had one for a couple of months now, and I like it.
The blade is the same size/type as in the #511. The handle is basically the same as the clipper, but without the "diamond" pattern.
I find it very comfortable to use. Also like the sheath better on this one than on the clipper.

TopQ on the other hand is slightly bigger than the clipper, both in hadle and blade.

The All around models are fantastic I was lucky enough to be gifted one by Prot tourist... It is similar to the clipper but the blade is thicker... and it has a longer tang the blade is also much more grippy

I have never warmed up to the big handles, sorry. To me, the 510 was the ultimate.

I think the TopQ allround has the thicker blade and finished spin. At least mine does. The HighQ has the same thickness/spine as a Clipper. For some reason the SS Mora uses is downright easy to sharpen. Still I have a big soft spot for carbon steel. In any case going to order a HighQ Carbon as it’s so darn cheap. I like smaller knives for the daypack but honestly rarely use a fixed blade during a dayhike but have a phobia against not having a fixed blade in the woods, nofixedbladeaphobia only has one cure.

Thanks for the info.

I got my Carbon HighQ from Ben's Backwoods. Took it out on the AT this weekend.

Nice blade. The Scandi grind took up less of the blade than in my 911 or 511. It needed maybe 5 minutes on some sand paper to get razer sharp. Going to toss it into the daypack. For the money these are hard to beat. :)
