So I just picked one up. First thing I noticed was that the "bevel?" runs right to the actual edge? I hope my terminology is correct. All my other knives are not like this..they have a small bevel on each side, and then the actual edge..Can someone explain this style blade to me?

Flat grinds are common and generally most people don't have anything against them. I usually only see a micro/secondary bevel on blades that have been profiled to a small angle and the extra strength is needed or for people that like to beat up the blades by chopping down trees with a 3.5" blade that isn't designed to do such thing.

Its called a Scandinavian grind. Scandi for short. I've never owned a scandi but I've heard they're awesome for bushcrafty type things. Hope this helps.

Well.my Kershaw Scallion,Benchmade Leopard Cub,Schrade Old Timer, and Schrade something or other,,don't look like the Mora..so I am wondering about advantages and disadvantages to this blade.

Feather sticks...? Haha I couldn't really say. From what I've heard its a great grind for a woods knife. I don't know much about them. I'm sure there's tons of threads on here if you search Scandinavian or scandi.

Mora knifes has an total edge on around 22 degree - and most of them has also a microbevel, very thin, use a loup to se this micro bevel. i guess that your Mora has a cutting edge on around 26 degrees.

This is not a knife for chopping or batoning. It is a Scandi allround knife, design by the vikings for more than 1000 years ago :)

Whittle in wood, skin games, butcher meat and fish - it works for many different things. This type of blade design is not perfect for anything - but it can be used to do everything, and that is the task for a Scandi all round knife.

Mora knifes is not fancy, they do not look great - but they are very good working knifes. Use it and enjoy the blade design!
