Mora Knives?

their good knives, I carry and use the clipper model for scouts, and it hasn't let me down yet. the only issues I've had with it are:
1) the sheath looses it's retention after a bit of use, and I don't particualy trust it.
2) while it comes absoulutely razor sharp, I've had a few issues re-sharpening. however this speaks more of my sharpening skills than of the knife itself.

the end result is that their a great knife, let down a bit by the poor sheath (in the case of the clipper). but you could still buy a custom sheath, and end up ahead of the game, by my reckoning.
I can't comment on their other knives, but apart from handle and sheath design I can't see much different about most of them, so the blades should be sound.

I got one at the weekend from Knifeshow UK-after a quick strop it was one of the sharpest knives I own.Good steel, nice handle, you do not get better value for money than a Mora(get the carbon steel one).

The plastic sheaths of Mora knives have never been anything great but they work. Solid working knives otherwise, cheap and ubiquitous where I live so you can use and abuse them as you like.

I buy through Ragnar as well. The craftsman, clipper, 510 Frosts, and the 2k seem to be the most popular models.

My first fixed blade was a Mora #1, circa 1959 (still got it :-).... 5-inch clip point with a nice rosewood handle and a good-quality leather sheath (they made `em a little better back then, IMHO). It`s been through a lot, but it`ll probably last another 50 years....

You can also check smokymountainknifeworks.com. They have a variety of models and are priced reasonable. I have the Mora 2000 and the military version. You can also check sportsmansguide.com.

Smokey Mountian Knife Works has them also. I have 2 Mora Clippers one is Carbon steel & the other is the StainlessSteel. Both are Laser sharp  Great little knife for the money. No they are not made for Heavy abuse...these are made for bushcraft & food prep. & are Very good at that ;) These are good to get several & keep one in your car/Truck/SUV/Boat/Camper/ToolBox/Backpack...etc.:D
