This seemed relatively simple to use. Loop around then cross at the back, pull up then slide on the retainer. Any other ideas beside rubber bands ? I don't want to find my knife yanked out by some brush a mile back when I want to use it. And can someone please tell me the proper name for these little spring loaded doo hickies that clamp down on the cord. I'd like to get more of them but it is a gong show explaining them over the phone, thanks.

I've never lost a mora, but I never wore one on my belt while hiking a long way, either. If I did, I'd probably use some shock cord or something like that. Never thought about using cord locks though.

I removed the guard on my 511 and the knife was rattling in the sheath pretty bad (as it should have, as the guard wasn't there anymore).
I was sitting by the fire earlier today thinking of a fix, and it hit me:used the fire to hit up the sheath, squeeze it down, let it cool, try it out....did it one more time and I got PERFECT retention now.
Give it a try.

Well duh !, lol. I have heated and molded plastic sheath inserts before and didn't even think of this. Good call, thanks. I guess a guy could retighten these sheaths any time it is needed like this.
