If this has been covered sorry, I did a search but did not find this.
Like many I do not like the Mora robust's fat handle, and planned on a rehandle mod soon after first touching the robust.
well today I had some extra time and thought I would remove the old plastic, so I have less work to do once I find the right wood for a new handle.
As I was starting to cut off the plastic (at first with a knife) I stumbled upon an option that some may find useful...
By cutting small bits off the rubber you can trim down the grip to a very comfortable, and grippy size.
At this stage it still fit the sheath just fine, and did not come loose even upside down and shaking it.
Here is a pic of the tang if you have not seen it befor.
I will tell you one thing, I have new found respect for Mora's (Not that I did not love them to begin with) but even with the handle cut in half, I had a hell of a time getting the blade out of that handle.
