I got a Mora Robust a while back and I like the knife a lot, but the newer Mora sheaths are all right handed and I'm a southpaw. I've been collecting tools to start experimenting with Kydex, but in the mean time I wanted to get the knife over on my left side where it belongs. I was looking at a photo showing how another Mora with the "button hole" in the belt clip could be mounted on the outboard side of the Robust sheath and the lightbulb went on. I cut the belt loop off the Robust sheath, re-contoured the top of the sheath where the cut was made and did the same on the bottom of the cut off belt loop. All that was left was to clip the liberated belt loop onto the stud. Instant Southpaw Mora sheath.
I had some concerns about it staying put, but when you think about it, the stud is meant to mount another Mora on and it takes a lot of force to disengage it. The knife still stays put in the sheath and it can be rotated as needed. Of course it sits a little higher but seems to clear the ol' love handles. I planned to permanently mount it using a little universal plastic pipe cement or epoxy, but that would kill the rotating feature so I'm going to hold off for now.
