Good point. I am now confused. I think they have gone overboard on product range.
BUT - I am still always VERY impressed by Mora knives. I use them all the time - I thoroughly recommend their 'basic wood carving knife': simple carbon steel, plastic handle, very cheap, but you can carve and whittle away on just about any wood and it just keeps on cutting - the edge is truly strong and smooth.
I got a heavy duty and it is very serious knife - strong and sharp, probably the only knife you ever need, especially for the outdoors, camping etc.

Personally i prefer hultafors, for the same reason. Simplicity. If your selling appeal is based on simple cheap knives why offer a complicated and expensive product range?

Partly perhaps because Frost and the other surviving mora firm recently merged and they don't want to throw away the good will for any of their brands?

I think Mora phases in new models slowly while the older models are still in production, resulting in similar knives being in the pipeline at the same time. Usually variances (sometimes very minor) in blade thickness, length and grip style are there if one compares them closely.

No idea, but as cheap as Moras usually are, one of each?
lol, prolly makes sense. i use the carbon Clipper for brutal cutting chores, never fails. i have the stainless Clipper but don't use it much.
thought i might pick up a few of the new flavors to try out like the Robust or Heavy Duty
