I love these cheap little guys.. These are a couple that I played with their sheaths. I basically made a frog for the bigger one, with retention, and added a drain hole. The little classic 2/0 I cut tip off the sheath to shorten it and drain ( I live in Florida), added leather reinforcement like with the bigger one, and then made it a neck knife.

asfta- That's two knives there. The big one is a Mora classic 2, its a belt knife. The second is a Mora classic 2/0. It's only 3" blade... About 6" overall I think. Shorter than a Becker Necker..

The leather work is similar on both, just smaller on the 2/0. And instead of the retention loop like on the big one, the retention system on the small one is the neck cord, with a bead to hold it tight. I'm a native Floridian, so the bead is an alligator, chosen from a child hood memory from a swampy trip to Osceola Ollustee.

I have been thinking of doing the same thing, but since I do leather, I usually do whole new sheath anyway. :) (except that it takes more leather of course)

A.L.- I am a leather worker myself. Holsters, sheaths, replica movie props, and for a brief 8 years or so armor for live steel fighters (Renaissance festival sca type stuff).. But with these, I just reinforced them. And down where I live leather calls in the water and rust, so their crappy sheaths with a little modification, work well here.. Like a 40's bayonet sheath.. It takes like 30 minutes to do one, even with dye on edges of the frogs..

Yeah, now that I think I could try something like that too. I have some leather scraps left and mora classic 2 in box so I would save lots of leather on that project. :)

The Mora 2/0 marks an awesome neck knife. Slices like a laser and weighs practically nothing.

I wear mine around my often if heading out of the city.

I agree. Very lightweight and easy to carry.
