Does anyone know of an alternative sheath for the Mora companion? I took my new mora this weekend on a camping trip and I don't care for the sheath. I would prefer like a kidex or leather one.

I bought a very nice yet affordable leather sheath online for mine. Unfortunately I do not think I can recommend that site. Its intended for the Bushcraft Black, but fits my Companion very securely as well. Dave Canterbury would approve if that helps.

Would you mind emailing me that site info please?

$39.99, and I found it to be extremely high quality for its price. I looked for a nice leather sheath for the Bushcraft Black for a long time before finding this one. There was little middle ground between the $200 customs and the $20 one size fits many that are floating around.

I have seen a leather one made for the Companion on some websites, I think it was about $20. I want one but havent gotten it yet so I cant speak to its quality. It looks decent though, sewn and riveted with what looks like a decent amount of retention.
I can't stand rigid one piece plastic sheaths, there's no flexibility so you can't sit with it on your belt. It might be more weatherproof than leather but if it isn't comfortable I won't be carrying it in the first place.

Edit: i just looked them up, $15, made by "Learherworks" in Missouri.. The brand could be just the seller, but either way they look good. They're plain leather, so you could stamp and dye them to make them more to your liking. They're sized to fit most of the normal sized Moras.

On the subject, does the "light my fire" mora with the firesteel have same kind of guard as the companion? In other words, would the light my fire mora fit companion mora sheahts?

On eBay there are plenty of nice cheap kydex sheaths offered...

Thanks for the idea, why did I not think of that! :D
