Has anyone experienced a failure with the Mora models with wood handles? Has anyone ever had one become loose or completely come off?

I've used a standard Mora Classic for 3 years now, for camping and bushcraft, and nothing bad happened. it's stil in great shape

You should not have any problems unless you are doing something incredibly stupid with it. Just remember to not go wailing on it like its a straight froe.

Solid and sharp like the first day.

at the base of the blade there are some traces of glue that I've put to prevent humidity gets into the handle

Been using the same Mora No 1 and No 2/0 for years. Use it as a cutting tool only, and don't put the handle in the fire and you won't have any problems.

Cool beans. Thanks for the replies. I myself have never experienced a failure with any mora model. I have heard of the 511 model loosing its handle during "light" field use. My favorite model is the companion series in all flavors, and the Bushcraft Black of coarse.

I'm trying to get a "current" consensus on any recent mora failures, especially the wood handle models. 1 and 2. I own several moras, but only one model 1. No issues with any.
