Sooooo... Long story short, I locked myself out of the house yesterday evening, but luckily had the garage open and was able to create a scout carry sheath for my Mora while I waited for my fiancee to come home and let me in lol

Blocking for a knife is a huge PIA compared to blocking for a handgun. So I didn't make a weep/drain hole until after the sheath was pressed. I did so by heating the edge with a heat gun and sliding my center punch in between the kydex. Then I formed it with my gloves. It's not very pretty, but it is extremely functional.

This morning I added my Condor iPouch, which contains a small firekit and more cord.

Really nice sheath, I like it a lot. What material did you use for the straps? It looks rubbery...

You are correct, they are rubber. These are rubber "IWB loops" that Knifekits sells. I had a few extra left over and decided to use them.

I would disagree with the "not pretty" part. Looks like a nice, well done sheath. Good job

Thanks for the info on the loops, seems worth looking into.
I also agree with Nuke_Spook, I think it looks rather nice and clean.

Thanks guys!

As far as the loops go, I actually prefer the 3/4" loops from Index Fasteners. They are made of webbing that is covered in rubber. They have rubbery properties, but are as strong as webbing can be.
