Getting knife as a gift is always nice.

However, after some time I got several Mora Robust knives.

So I need ideas on how to mod them, to have different knives for different purposes.

I'll keep one intact, but I need ideas for other knives.

These are current ideas:
1. I'll just square the spine so it can hit ferro rod (despite the fact I never use it, mostly because the spine currently has no finish at all)
2. I'll use sandpaper to convex the edge and round the spine, making it more comfortable for the thumb.

The handle is perfect as is, so I don't want to touch anything there.

First I would modify the back of the handle. Making it follow the shape of the rounded “plate”. With a more straight handle I am free to hold it as fits, with or without gloves for example. Maybe I would drop the tip just 2mm just to make the blade pointier, and make a top bevel in the front like on the old models. This would give a better precision tip for delicate work.
Maybe grinding the front with a little arch, making it easier to hold the handle of a hot coffee pot from the campfire? Just go crazy, and post pics 😊👍🏿

Turn one into a sheepsfoot. It would be a different knife excellent at different cutting chores, together they would complement each other.

This☝️.

I’d go with a wharncliffe but, along the same lines. A straight edge similar to this.

Forgot to update the thread...

One Mora ended up going to my mom, one ended up going to my cousin who really wanted it, one got lost and I now use and have only one 🤣
