I see a big box store listing Moras as Industrial Revolution and not MoraKniv.
John :)

From the original Mora Knives company founded by Eric Frost to today, there have been several changes, conglomerations, acquisitions and so on... But the quality has been maintained over time. Bought some years ago : very efficient, lightweight, solid knives. I have the Mora Classic N°1 and the N°2 :

But that new name, I say, just the name, doesn't sound right.

Doing a google search reveals that Industrial Revolution is the importer for Morakniv. I'm not sure what's going on there.

From the IR website,

"..and in 2013 we are pleased to announce our exclusive distributorship of Mora knives."

Doesn't seem like Mora was sold or anything, it looks like they have been importing them for a while, but it appears the importer started promoting themselves for some reason.

New importer, makes sense, no game changer. Thanks for that.

I bought a new Morakniv Pro C this past summer. And it reads Morakniv.

Might be just a new branding to try to get them sold as tools, not just as knives for outdoorsmen and wood carvers.
