Mora's with ambidextrous or left-handed sheaths?

I have a friend who's sons are in need of new knives. They have a couple of Buck Gen 5 skinners that I bought them for Christmas a year or so back, but they just don't hold an edge well at all for wood carving... which is all they use them for.

Another bad part is that one of the boys is left-handed, and the Buck sheath is really akward for him. I was thinking of picking them up a pair of Mora's, but I'm not sure which knives come with ambidextrous sheaths.

Any suggestions?

the wood handled Moras generally have ambidextrous sheaths as well - and can be had with a metal finger guard for child safety.

Southpaw here myself.

Along with the 760 series knives that 42blades mentions, all the "classic" red wood handled ones I have are ambi' as well as the Mora 2000.

The Ericksson 510 also has an ambi' sheath. (and is one of the best carbon steel Mora style knives!)

Also the #137, which is sort of an upgraded #1 (leather sheath, laminated blade.)

I'm having a harder time thinking of Moras that aren't ambi!

I'm not sure if they're ready for classic style handles, they're still novices with knives. I'll run it by my friend to see what he thinks.

When I was browsing different models, it looked like most had right-handed sheaths.

I went with 510's through Ray Mears' site. Not a huge fan of the idea of paying to have them shipped over here, so I went ahead and picked up four of them to make it worth while. Might as well have a couple of them for myself. ;)
