Moras

Another vote for Ragnar's Ragweed forge. Great customer service! As for the Mora, give the #1 a try.

Check out the 510, M2K, Triflex/SWAK. The #1 is a neat design but the handle is quite narrow and small in circumference.

If you do get any, go see Ragnar at Ragweed Forge. He's great.

I like many of the Mora's ,but the 780 Craftsman Triflex is my favorite. Ragweed is tops.

+1 for Ragnar. Made my order one night - had the order two days later!

I picked up a Craftline All Around recently. You really cannot go wrong with this Mora. Super Comfy, sharp out of the box, and easy to sharpen.

I like the TriFlex Craftsman, and the new Craftline All-around is now my favorite Mora. But if you prefer the wood handles, they're great too... I have a couple of the #2 in laminated steel and they are incredible knives for the money (but I guess ALL the Moras are...).

Stay sharp,

I have a Viking and a clipper. The clipper gets used most of the time. At first I didnt like the cheap plastic sheath. I have changed my mind, its a versatile sheath.Often I clip it to a front pocket and carry it inside. Ill do this when metal detecting because I want a knife on hand and concealed. Its also the knife I take when canoeing or wading. I like the stainless for this. The Viking sheath is useless.

I think I have somewhere in the neighbor hod of like 12 moras... Love them..... My fav right now is the laminate #1..I also like the carbon clipper and the 510
Honestly As lon as you don;t try to use them as a prybar... you can;t go wrong with any of them...None of them will win a beauty contest though...However I believe there is a guy on this forum who makes custom handles on mora blades with nice sheaths.... at a good price... they cal him barber (bonbe) Fobic,, Great guy to deal with.

Ragnar got a couple of orders to me way up in Canada really fast, I would not buy my scandis from anyone else.
The Mora 2000 is a great one, as is the clipper. Both the stainless and the carbon perform about equally well, imo, the stainless is actually laminated so the edge is still carbon.

I like triflex, but I'd rather have it in the clipper's sheath. Both are great knives, just the triflex sheath is hard to mout to a belt. I got mine from amazon. Ragweed has a bigger selection though.

I got the new Mora 2010. It's a bit shorter than the Mora 2000 but has a more comfortable handle. Not sure if I trust the sheath.

So with everyone talking about them, I was thinking I should pick up one or two. (As well as a Tramontina machete) But which Mora to buy? There seem to be a few different ones that could work.

I personally like the Classic look with the red birchwood handle, but was wondering what everyone else was thinking.

There are a lot of really good review for Moras, here and on Youtube. Check them out.

God Bless

I have been meaning to try one myself. Now is a good a time as any. I'm gonna check out ragweedforge and pick one out. Thanks for the nudge.;)

I have a clipper and like it very much.

I want a smaller one for carving.
