0170-6C seems to make an excellent lower alloy cutlery steel, and I'd like to start a wish list of other knives to use it on:
Some traditional pocket knives like stockmans, trappers, and boy scout knives.
Some traditional types of fixed blade knives like 4in or so hunters, straight or slightly clipped, maybe narrow and wide.
Kitchen knives, especially 3in and 4in paring knives with blade thickness ranging down to 0.04 to 0.05 inches. A 10in slicer, 8in chef, 6in sandwich, and a 7in or so fillet knife would make for a basic set. Full tang with no bolsters. Wood handles would be classic but decent synthetic would be ok too.
