This is a very old Jungle Fighter and it is unbelievable how many angles and grinds it has. It must have taken Jerry a week and three bottles of JWblue to do the job. The edge is the sharpest edge I have seen on a busse to date and being that the knife is from the 1999 era that is saying a lot.

If you look at the spine of the blade, you will see multiple grinds and cuts. Even the final clip is nearly sharp but fully coated, it would take but 5 minutes to make it razor sharp. The clip near the back of the blade is super sharp, then the center section is angled.

Then take a look at all the angles and curves around the ricasso/handle area

then take a look at the tripple butt grind on the rear

WOW

He must have been grinding while drinking Tequila for the first time.

so when someone says jerry can't grind while drunk this thing is proof that back in 98-99 he could

If I only had access to Mr. Peabody's WABAC machine...........they would all be mine!!! :D

wow, very nice find! HOG is an understatement for you...

But you know, that one just looks like it would be VERY at home with Porkerson -- he's probably going to be here soon drooling...

That is one cool variant!. I think that one would make an awesome large combat knife. Big enough to lop off an arm or leg. Stabbie enough to poke big holes in someone.

That is an awesome example, thanks for posting it.

I think Grinducci is the only one that can't grind drunk!

Cool JF, have you had that a long time or is it new to you?

"And this one here is very unusual...Jerry Busse was known to grind his earlier knives in his career while sometimes, shall we say, intoxicated. This is an outstanding find of his earlier work....At auction I'd say this would bring, conservatively, $80,000".

Just got it but it has been around as long as BF. You can tell this handle is an original slotted bolt slabs modded with tubes, so it had to be made during the transition from bolts to tubes which means late 98 early 99.

.

Oh, my! I think I just might faint, here! :D AWESOME, Cobalt! Can that Jerry grind 'em, or what??

it is a sight to behold. As good as it looks in pics, it is that much nicer in person. edited to add that as I was holding it, I noticed that it feels as heavy as the other SHBM's and it shouldn't as it is ground leaner, so I measured the thickness and it is right at 0.3 inches thick. It is a fat jungle assault.
