The frying pan was fun.........this was a challenge!!!! Not sure what kind of steel this was......but it was TOUGH! Came off a bulldozer. You can see where I stabbed it.......Damn the ASH can stab hard and deep. That handle is perfect for stabs.

The long cuts you see are where I battoned it. I was wailing on the blade with a good heavy baton and that steel was fighting the blade from going deep.........but as you can see.........the ASH would not take no as an answer!!!!!
 
Wish the pics were better resolution but all I had was my cell.

As hard as I was smashing the ASH's blade trying to baton through the steel......I thought for sure there would be major edge damage.

Nope. Just dull.

I can say this............Wow.
 
That is a hard working knife. It's time to reward it by cutting up some steak.
 
Is that a fat ash? Can't remember.

Have you had to do any sharpening or reprofiling yet from all the different tasks you've put it throughout?

That's freaking awesome. I need to buy a second ASH - probably a fat ASH this time (I have a .22) - and just beat the shit out of it and make it an abuser not a user blade.
 
The ash cuts almost as well as my mother in laws tongue..and that is saying something!!!! Dragon tongue vs ash....ash wins by a narrow margin

Fatty. .334 thick if I remember correctly. Factory edge still. I haven't really done anything to it yet. After Im done punishing it.....I will convex it at 25 dps. That may be down the road some though........having too much fun with it for now!!!

Other than my Kill Devil........I've never had this much fun with a blade before. Yeah.....this thing is atomic bomb proof......I have no doubt. I have almost no reservation with the ASH-1's ability to tear through just about anything without any real damage. On top of all that piece of mind......its just plain FUN to use. Never mind the ergo's with the slim scales are amazing.

Freaking love this knife. LOVE IT!
