Namaste everybody! It is me, Pala. Here I am again with a couple of good bargains for you.

Top is 18 inch forward curving by Sanu Bishwakarma -- blade hatchmarked with circle inside each square -- very neat and nicely done. Blade is marked left side just above bolster "made in Nepal" -- marked not stamped -- marked right side SN 155 with HI logo just above bolster. Blade is over 1/2 inch thick and 1 & 7/8 wide. Weight 2 lbs. Excellent workmanship and finish. Very nice scabbard, karda and chakma. Chakma is also hatchmarked. One minor problem -- very slight dimple in right side of blade where Sanu has worked out some irregularity. Great knife at a great price.

Price $140 and I will pay shipping

Bottom is 18.5 inch village short sword. Blade is nicely finished for village model and has brass inlay and scrollword pretty neatly done. Blade is 3/8 wide, about 1.5 wide but the knife only weighs 1lb 2 oz -- just a bit over half of the khukuri just above it. Very light and fast for this length. Pretty decent scabbard for village knife. Karda and chakma small and ugly but seem funtional.

Price $70 and I will pay shipping.

Both carry full HI guarantee.

Call or email Bill Jwai if interested and dheri dhanyabad.

Bill/Kami,

Sanu's piece looks like a chopper and a beauty. Will take it if no one has beat me to it.

Pala, the village khukis looks good from what I can see. Do you know what type of wood the handle is? How is the steel? Can you tell if it is tempered right and will hold a good edge? I think it would be a great work blade if the quality of the is there.

Ice, rest assured that the villager is tempered right. I have four villagers now and I chopped and digged with all of them. They perform admirably. They won't have the finish and fit of an HI but HI is putting their guarantee behind it. You can't lose.

Sing, I am waiting for the arrival of HI 18th Century Model shipment from Pakcik Bill! I guess (from pix view + specs) that Sanu Bishwakarma Forward Curving Khukuri with hatchmarks is about the same quality with HI 18th Centry Model - Ooh man! you really have made a good choice & right dicision on a high quality product with very good bargain! Please let us know about it later - OK!

Sing, you were first man in so the Sanu Bishwakarms forward curving is yours. It is a great knife and I don't think the dimple will be of any concernt to you whatsoever. I'll try to get is shipped today.

Ice, Pala told me the wood is called "saatisal" which is a Nepali oak. It is pretty tough stuff. My file slides across the edge which tells me the edge is pretty darned hard. What steel it is I can't say for sure but we will guarantee the knife, handle and blade, with a full HI guarantee. If it gives you any problems send it back and we will replace it. It is as Sing says, "you can't lose," so let me know.

Many thanks. Pala has a couple more bargains he will post later today. He is busy cleaning and shipping right now but said tell everybody "dheri dhanyabad" (much thanks) for their support and interest.

COoool... Bill, feel like I hit the lottery. This looks to be the fanciest khukuri for me yet. Of course, I am also looking forward to what's in store for the "millenium".
