  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

i have been reccomended the bk9 many times but have also been told that i should get a small knife too. so therefore i am looking for one. preferrably a bk11 or bk14 eskabar however if there are any others out there i may be open to one around the 40-50 dollar range

I like the 11 better....but the new 14 handles might change that. Wish they had the same option (not micarta) for the 11.

I love my 14, that thing is sharp and it can take a lot of abuse. Just yesterday I used it to pry apart peaces of frozen chicken breast and today I used it to prepare all of the food for dinner. that being trimming pork for me and filleting some fish for the girlfriend as well as cutting up some sweet potatoes for fries. I have never handled an 11 but plan on getting one now that the new coatings and etchings are out. So my vote is for the 14 but then again you can the 11 has a bottle opener.

You could get a BK13 to in the 9's sheath (there is a sheath built in already there for it). Then you could spring for one of the tweeners in April when they come out, then you'd have all of your bases covered.

However, you can mod the sheath for the 13 to fit an 11/14. I did that last week and now my 11 rides with my 9 :).
