I'm a happy knife collector this week... Recently picked up a nice large fighter f/ Adam DesRosiers to compliment a large chopper I had from him for a while now... they are quite a nicely matched pair. Same walnut handle and W2 steel blade. Sorry for the lousy iPhone pic... but I'll try and get some better pics when I can.

And I also have been working w/a really good maker across the waves and this one is almost done now... been getting pics as he goes along.
Here's the forged out blade:
getting the guard, pommel and stacked leather handle together:
and here she is almost finished... still need to wax the leather washer handle and then off for a sheath and then to me...
Specs on this one (can't remember the exact type of steel), but it's similar to L6 @ ~ Rockwell 57 and fully hardened. 16.15" Overall, 11.0" Blade, 1.97" Thick and ~ .197" thick. A big beautiful cutter!!
I'll post up some additional photos of the knife and sheath as I get them in from Giedymin Kapuscinski.
