Well here is the first of the Blue I tried,I don't know if it was because the bone was tan to start with or what but some didn't take the dye as strong as others but It did make it look like fossil ivory really well. What do you guys think ? There is also some more green colored bones as well One pic per reply for a few here..
Please let me know what you guys think of these.I do have some more smaller svales of both Blue and green to get flattened out,but I won't post them unless they are just really awesome,I will supply pics if requested after this...

Bruce, Those look great! There is an article in Blade about how popular blue mammoth is right now. I think you will sell those easy as they look like mammoth but dont have that price tag. Oh how much are they? Please send me a pair. Yes really.

Thanks Bruce. They are the same price as on the other post..
I will gladly send you a set..It will be in the package with the Knife we are working on..

Bruce, the blues with the gold and rust colors are really great. Even better than the greens. Keep up the good work and keep posting pics!

He's supposed to be working on a friction folder for me with that bone for the handle scales....Instead he's dinking around making more pretty painted bone slabs  :p :)

Sorry Peter,I had dyed up a whole bunch of bone at one time and then I was trying to find the best pieces for your Knife and ended up with all these..Don't hate me,I was trying to get you the best and sell the rest:D :p
I will be getting it done this week I hope..
Bruce

Couldn't resist giving you a hard time Bruce!:D Keep up all your good work and believe me, I'm in no hurry on the folder. When you are in the middle of a new creative endeavour it is sometimes important to follow the vision until the end. I know many projects are like that for me. If you don't dye a bunch of that bone now you may sort of lose the original idea that is making it so nice.

I figured you was just giving me a hard time Peter..
I needed to get as much of this ground up as I could,I still have more to grind actualy..Alex Daniels has asked me to send him a bunch to take to the Chesapeke knife show next weekend,This will be the first time anyone see's it in person and I am kind of curious about the reactions..
Bruce

Great looking colors there. I look foward to seeing finished knives with them. Maybe you can show off Peter's new knife.
As an aside...next time could you post them with a dollar bill in the frame somewhere. Everyone knows the size of a dollar (some people use a coin...then you have to guess what coin they used) and I can be sure my monitor is correct.
I'm sure you'll get a positive reaction at the show.
