Great finds ITE. I notice the 120 on the right has the inverted tang stamp, early '70s? How many fiber spacers on the left one? Both look unused and sheaths appear to be in excellent shape....

I hear Southern Calif is on fire, again . Hope you're safe.

Great score man!
Those 120's are nice!
What's that furry thing with claws ??? :D

Thanks ZombaiO, Look like some kind of bird of prey claw from an owl or hawk... ... I'm not really sure I got it at the swap meet... :D ...

Thanks again,
ITE

ITE, I would have thought the one on the right would have had four spacers, but what do I know.... got the case filled up yet?

I looked at the map, I see the fires are North of L.A., 4500 evacuated in Montecito, yikes....

Not fair! You cheat! Starting with the Buck 120 to fill a display case just aint right... should be 503s & 309s... heck, even 110s. Starting with a broad sword, like a 120, just fills it up too quickly. Nice knives, however. Still... how many 102s could you stuff in the case?

Seriously OT:
300Bucks, maybe you can use your career savvy to answer a longtime query I've had... which tastes more like chicken, a spotted owl or a condor? Just wondering...

MW, It's look like 3 spacers and what do I know... I'll take a look again tomorrow when I try to take some more pics... So is 3 better or 4 ????

Thanks,

ITE, If I'm not mistaken, 4 spacers would be older.

I'm looking at my 3-line 120 and it has 3 Micarta spacers too. If the 120 was built like the 119 they would have had four spacers until 1971(?) and then 3 afterwards. The inverted 3-line stamps were only made in 1972, the same year the Micarta spacer (btwn the guard and handle) was eliminated...... so, I think you're right, your knives both have 3 spacers, and, the one on the right was built in 1972.

Anyone with corrections, more info, please chime in..... I'm still trying to figure out how to date these babies....

Mike, the one on the left does have 3 spacers... ... The ivverted 3 line one has 4 spacers... ... Sorry I was wrong... ... So is that good... There will be 2 months of swap meet, yard sale and estate sale of knives in the case... I hope I find lots of Buck Knives before December... Just trying to see how many knives I can find in 2 months... :) ...
