More cannister Damascus and where did this chain come from?

I made these blades from this chain and used 3/4" tubing. I am finding out that the larger the tubing the more stretched out the pattern will be. So by using 3/4" tubing the chain still showed a lot of it's original shape.
I also used 4800KC powder from Kelly Cupples and it made for a much better pattern than the 1095 powder I had been using.
About 20 years ago I made friends with a Harley-Davidson mechanic and he saved the Harley chains for me. I have several different kinds. I was wondering what part of a motor this small chain came from.
 
Im pretty sure it’s a cam shaft chain. Damascus looks good.

I bet a lot of guys would like to have a knife made from the chain from their own bike. Might be a good marketing approach.

Small block chevys use a timing chain like that.
