Frank, you out there? Heres a question for you. Have you ever gone hunting with a hawk? I read where you can do that by skipping it across the ground at small game.

And thanks for the tease. What are you and Andy up to with Caracci? Come on and give us the details. Or maybe jsut some more information about what you guys are cooking up.

I'll have to "yield" to the "Member" from New Jersey. He's the Manager and I concede that he decides what gets reported when.

C'mon Andy, give'em a hint about the future thing(s)!

Actually Bill, American Tomahawk hasn't even "begun" to gain its notariety. When we are at the Blade Show with Peter, and hopefully Chris if he can make it, we anticipate GREAT response.

It is a significant happening, similar to that of Rex Applegate's Boker Fighter with regard to a "legend returning". Our biggest JOY is seeing Peter finally come out and get the recognition he so earnestly DESERVES. It is long overdue! You'd be surprised how many Viet Nam Special Forces Veterans have contacted Andy from ATC's yet limited exposure to the market. The hommage they have paid to Peter through contact with Andy has been very heartfelt to him(Peter). See up to now they didn't know he was available to "Thank" personally. Their stories are fascinating and appreciation of the Viet Nam Tomahawk beyond words.

The Viet Nam Tomahawk sales will be very substantial as MANY have awaited its return in first class quality form. Andy gets lots of e-mails each day. He just got another line because he doesn't want to subject people to a recording if at all possible.

That is about as much as I can say, and as previously stated I will yield to the Members from New Jersey and Carolina for any further info on the Forum.

Thanks for your Topic.

Out.

Frank,

Thanks for almost nothing

now I'm really drooling. Peter Lagana and Chris Caracci at the same table? I hadn't planned on going but now I'm packing all the plastic and travelers checks I can carry and I'm heading straight for your booth. You and Andy better bring lots of hawks.

I'm glad to see such a serious approach to tomohawks being taken. You two will bring back the deserved reputation these weapons deserve.

Thanks Bill!

Actually the cudo's go to Andy and Bobby Branton!

You may want to get a Special Forces Viet Nam Tomahawk before the show. I know Andy is thinking of renting a semi-truck just for hauling them.

Thanks for your kind words and sorry about the lack of info. Andy is going to hunt me down as it is.

I am waiting for the phone to ring.

...ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies.

This is by know means a final design....rather, a prototype. Carbon Fiber, Steel Isogrid Mounting Bracket, and a detachable Tomahawk head...detachable for reasons yet to be revealed.

As for Hawk Hunting, Peter LaGana bagged plenty of small game with a side arm throw....you are correct. The side arm throw allows for the Hawk to pinwheel low to the ground without getting hung up by the handle striking the earth...though the most powerful throw for hunting is traditional overhand...I used this style of throw with hog hunting (albeit just on one hunt with throwing knives

Ahhh, thats sweet! This forum has helped to reveal my liking of hawks. I didn't know I had it in me, but new sharp steel just calls me!

That's that custom roofing hammer you've been muttering about, isn't it?

I think that a particular design like this could be some new-fangled "convertible" mountaineering ice axe, but I've been known to speculate wildly about things.

You're not too far off base Don! But frankly, I regret that I cannot confirm anything further other than that the coolness and practical factors are WAY for real!
