l--to right--kryptonite 08 tiduote
73 jack white bone
73 jack looking glass abalone
grits & molasses o7 northfield muskrat
the krypto is standard stock. the 73 is called smooth white bone & is one of the prettiest handles but needs to be isolated if carried in pocket.[ no keys or coins with knife]

Man, you have a lotta nice GECs, Dennis.

How do you like the Looking Glass Acrylic? I've been eying the new two-blade Congress in Looking Glass, but I'm concerned that it might look a bit...I dunno, plastic-y or something. Do you have a shot of it edge-on by any chance?

Man I've been looking for a Kryptonite GEC for a while now! Definitely on my "Just Gotta Have" short list:D Took me a while to get my Lava Lamp, boy that Kryptonite would just complete me lol.

That White Bone looks like it will age nicely.
Interested in that new Half Congress from GEC, hope it's a single spring, but I doubt it....

rick i was concerned the looking glass might look cheap like the 40s & 50s knives made by colonial & imperial. mike latham advised they were really attractive & after receiving same i'm really impressed. one plus is careful study shows the pin placement giving a clearer idea of the amazing quality construction of the gecs.irregardless of gec quality members are advised to study the quality of real decent oldies to gain a true respect of great pocket knife construction.rick i'll try to show a side profile later, hope my mediocre photo ability will be clear.

My gosh Dennis

Beautiful knives. I should know better than to look at your pictures ;)

I do not need more GEC's (or do I ?) LOL

Dennis, you mention the need to protect the Bone #73. i would have thought it less likely to scratch than the acrylics. would you please expand on this a little.
thanks, roland

I like the combinations of handles you show. Very nice.

rprocter actually i do'nt know if acrylic is harder than bone. maybe one of the knife makers will chime in. but the light solid color will certainly show any blemishes more readily than many other handle materials.i would imagine that members wishing to put effort in could polish regulary with renanisse wax or flitz polish to keep handles pristine.however i do'nt worry about blemishes or blade patinas on a carry knife.
