So why do some people have a problem with the "Idaho Made" mark?

If the maker take pride in it, shouldn't you?

I don't know that this needs to be brought up again, there are multiple threads that are plenty long on this subject.

But it isn't about the pride of the mark, people just don't like the execution of it. There are better places to put the mark. It's about how it looks, not what it says.

You really need to use the search function rather than start the 1,374th thread on this topic. People have staked out and explained (or not explained) their positions on this so often that this is probably now the most-beaten dead horse thread at BF.

There ya go, Matthewd, after you check out all those links come on back if you have any more questions.

In fact they are made in Edmonton ... but it takes up too much room to say so

Searching is an art. As in this case, it helps to search the most appropriate forum, rather than BF as a whole. There is always something new. We have a long Search FAQ in Tech Support, but that describes the old Bladeforums search engine, which has been replaced by a better product. It just takes practice.

Asking questions frustrates some of us old-timers, who have heard all the questions before, but ... that's how you learn, AND some old questions do have new answers. Some old threads are worth re-reading and updating. Whatever you post on a website this large will please some and annoy others.

"You see, you can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself."

Well, on Sunday you posted a thread entitled "What is so special about the Sebenza?". Two days later you post this thread about the Idaho Made controversy.

Either you are incapable of searching this forum for related posts or you are engaging in trollish behavior. I think it's the latter.

I could be wrong but I don't think so. You registered just this month and you have two threads in the CRK forum that rehash old, tired and somewhat controversial issues.

But hey, good on ya if you're just checking things out!

Tasmaniac, discuss the topic, not the other members If you have a problem with member, put him on ignore or report the post to a moderator.

Do NOT derail the thread with moaning and groaning that's older than the topic you're complaining about.

Have you seen the CRK video review on knifetest? I think you should. Then maybe start a thread. I don't think a threads been done it before.

....Run's away before the grenade explodes :p

BTW CRK doesn't make fixed blades anymore right? I think that review was the nail in their coffin. It has hundreds of threads on it on this forum alone.
