More disk sander questions

Just ordered a 9" beveled disk sanding disk and I wondered if these is any advantage to mounting it so that it spins horizontally. I was thinking about mounting the motor under the bench with the shaft extended up thorugh...
Anyone tried it this way? Thanks.

i thought about mounting mine that way but i found out that having it vertical allows you to see what is going on. i have several vids i took of a member that i was teaching how to grind on a disc if you wish to see them. send me an email and i'll be glad to email them to you. rje196021@gmail.com
