does anyone wont more economic spydercos i.e. around the 40 dollar range like the tenacious line i have all of them but i want more cheap ones. i got the delica the centofante and the dragonfly there nice but took e a long time to save for let e know what you think.:)

Not me personally. I bought the Tenacious and won't be buying any Chinese Spyderco's again. Great knife, just want a nicer knife with a better steel.

Have you looked at the Cat and Chicago? I can't speak as to the Chicago but the Cat has great ergos and the 440C had a top notch HT, great fit and finish as expected from the Taiwan plant, and you can get them for around $40-50

I toatally forgot about the byrd line. they are great but most of them dont touch the tenacious line except maby the cara cara 2 but that still is not as good as the tenacious and yes the cat.

It's going to be hard to beat the Tenacious, man. I have $300+ Spyderco knives and I've been carrying the Tenacious all week just for fun. Man it's great. Especially when you consider the price. It's probably the best knife I have in my collection, if you factor in price. The only thing I don't like about it is the G10. It isn't grippy enough. I'm used to the grip on the Para 2 or Southard.

I think between the lower priced spydies and bryd's they have plenty in the low price range for my taste. I wouldn't be against maybe retiring a knife for a different model.

no.
but i would like to see less frn and backlocks and more g10 in their sub-100$ category(street price).

I agree very much. Especially with the Japanese models unless Taiwan can just keep adding more models, their products are superior imo.

The price of US made G10 is going to go up soon, so we can expect to pay a bit more for it in the very near future.

What's up with the price of G10, RevDevil? I hadn't heard that it was escalating in price...

Ideed. Manufacturing costs have been reportedly increasing (raw materials). This is according to some of the knife making supply stores I've spoken with. Due to hit 1st Q of 2014, if not already.
