I tested a BK&T Combat/Utility BK7 along with several other knives in chopping up some branches at the house. The BK7 impressed me very highly, especially for a $50 knife!!! For the full rundown check out the two threads below. The BK7 came out looking extremely good in pretty impressive company. Thanks to Ethan & Will for a very strong performer.
While much of the raving about the BK7 in the review centers on the comfort of the handle, the steel continues to impress me for its toughness and ease of resharpening on the Sharpmaker in a very moderately priced knife. Even a tip-first 3+ ft fall onto concrete caused only minimal (insanely tiny) damage to it.
