Here are MidwestDave`s. Maple, walnut, and mesquite burl, along with his Lobo and Camp Knife.

And here is fishiker`s in a special walnut. He asked me to choose something that would go good with a gunstock. I had a tiny piece of this walnut left over from a special project, so I used it on this.

WOW! I'm glad I'm up early.
The Lobo's size really becomes apparent when next to another large knife.
The Drop Point Fire Kit Knife is adorable next to the Camp Knife.
Fantastic work John.

wow John.. those all look great... nice work man.. i love those 2 larger ones...:)

That mesquite burl combo is SWEEEET! Really nice job on those John.

The box arrived today.
Absolutely first class workmanship throughout.
The Lobo is indeed "a beast" and is taunting me already to chop something up with it. (Hey Pit, we have a new shade of brown micarta, sort of a mellow yellow.)
After seeing the pics of the Camp Knife I kind of figured it was destined for a life of leisure, but once in hand, it too begs to be used. And will be.
The Camp Knife and Lobo came with John's Dangler sheaths, which are well thought out, solidly made, and are a good idea for the big knives.
The Fire Kit knives are a blast to play with and are hard to put down.
Time to break out the mineral oil and feel them all up some more. :)

Thanks John,
Dave

I wore my Mesquite Fire Kit all day yesterday and forgot I had it on when the UPS lady came to the door. Wonder what she thought about it.
I used just enough woodland camo 550 cord that it hangs right between the pockets of my shirt. It is light enough that the thin cord doesn't dig in at all and the kit never got in the way.
I'm going to wear one between shirts for the next two days at work and see how it rides.
