Sorry if this is common knowledge, but I am new to Striders and couldn't find a definite answer using the search function.
What is the current AR folder blade made from, ATS-34, BG42, or something else? Are there any significant changes in the works?
I have decided that I definitely want to order one. Can anyone name some of the dealers that might have one on hand? If ordered directly from Strider, how long is the wait?
Thanks!

Hi,
I don't possess much knowledge about strider knives, but I have been trying to obtain one recently, and in an email from strider, he replied:

[Our back log is about five months, on new orders. Our production
schedule is
focused on filling backorders right now, so checking with US dealers
might
be faster.

also, if i am not wrong, the current ARs are crafted using Paul BOS treated ATS34 steel...
hope this helps...

To date, all folders have been made of BG42.
A few were mis-stamped ATS.
We are doing a run of S30V blades right now.

Talk to you soon

Mick...I didn't know that...cool...by the way, i will be ordering one of your blades, the GB from TAD soon....can't wait to get it...!:D

Mick, I just ordered one directly from Strider. Please tell me I don't have to wait too long!!
Is the S30V steel also heat treated by Paul Bos? Based on what I've read on the Chris Reeve boards, the S30V offers some improvement over BG42. Have you confirmed this at all?
Thanks, and looking forward to my first Strider!
