Here are a couple more pieces for the show. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, right? Both Bowies are both approximately 9 1/2" of 5160 with ironwood handles. I have been working on contouring my handles and like the feel of it. Really sticks to the hand when chopping.

Brett's knives keep getting cleaner and crisper. I knew we shoulda broke his fingers last year.
Make a note of that name; one day we will say we knew him when.....

Those bowies would make a great matched set - kind of like the old-timey duelling pistols - very nice!

Gotta love ironwood. :D

I love them, especially the second one. I have small hands and it just shouts out "BUY ME" unfortunately my bank account is shouting even louder "NO WAY" even louder.
 
The contoured handle looks great. I prefer the look of the pinned handle, but both those knives look to be very nicely finished.
 
Just a quick update from SOS guys.... young Mr. Gatlin walked away with the Best Bowie award! I guess the judges, like the new owner of the knife ( :D ;) :D ) had an appreciation for a clean crip design and flawless execution.

A full show review with a zillion pics will follow early next week.

My current status quo - broke and happy.
